LOS ANGELES, Calif. (March 4, 2014) – Mercury Insurance today announced that its auto insurance rates for Arizona drivers are being reduced an average of 6.9 percent. The reduction immediately applies to new customers and policy renewals beginning March 23, and will save Mercury policyholders an average of nearly $100 a year.
“We’re putting more than half-a-million dollars back in the pockets of Arizona drivers,” said Robert Houlihan, Mercury vice president and chief product officer. “Mercury Insurance is voluntarily reducing its rates to help consumers because we believe affordable insurance should be available for everyone.”
Mercury’s rate reduction applies to all drivers who get Private Passenger Automobile liability, comprehensive or collision coverages. Mercury operates through a network of 321 independent insurance agents in Arizona. Drivers can also go to www.mercuryinsurance.com to get a quote.
“Drivers may be able to save more than the average percentage we’re reporting based on various rating factors and the amount of coverage they purchase from Mercury,” said Houlihan. “The rate reductions can also be combined with other discounts like good driver, multi-policy and our Auto+Home discount that could save customers up to 12 percent more. The savings add up really fast.”
